Can I bribe you with your own money?

A recent hot topic on the National Front (Barisan Nasional) - Can the Prime Minister openly bribe voters and get away with it? Apparently in Malaysia, anything is possible, as per the national mantra of Malaysia Boleh! (Malaysia Can!), set by the 4th Malaysian Prime Minister, Mahathir.
