Brick World Comics Presents World Cup Specials

Well World Cup 2010 has finally came to an end, during the month when it was raging on we have accumulated quite a small collection of comic strips here which are World Cup related so we decided to bundle them out in an easy to see format for you guys to relive some of the World Cup moments. Just click on the image above to access the page, or you can click here.

Talking about LEGO World Cup... how can we missed this chance to promote this uber LEGO soccer site, see Legofussball.eu. for all the glories in LEGO soccer!

We would also like to take this opportunity to introduce the new experimental Brick World Comics blog site which is aiming to cater the "I only want to read the comics" crowd who might find the jumping between our blogs a tedious task. Do let us know what you think!

Past Tense Indeed

Recent survey would tell you as a normal citizen who wish to retire in a city with comfort you would need a huge amount of money. By simple math it will show most people simply cant reach that figure. Read yahoo's latest How to retire with a million dollars. It recommends "By age 55, your retirement portfolio should be at $400,000".

Let us assume you have 20 years to get the figure from scratch, $400,000 / (20x12) = $1666.66 pure savings a month, now I won't know if that number is a coincidence, but for a normal joe it is simply a piggy bank too far to reach. At any rate by the time you are really 55 (assuming 20++ years from now) one can really doubt if a million dollars will be enough for you to retire in style.

In short, 95% of the world's population can't really afford to retire.

That was an Extra blue Monday

The open secret is any one who is into soccer here is almost a English Premier league fan, the defeat of England VS Germany in 4-1 would certainly disappoint the legions of fans locally, resulting in an extra blue Monday in the following day.
